Students’ AI Projects Take Center Stage at Global Summit
Middlesex University Dubai’s Computer Engineering & Informatics (CEI) students recently showcased their groundbreaking AI projects at the UAE AI Everything Global Summit. GuardianEar: An Award-Winning Eavesdropping Detection System
One of the most notable achievements at the summit was the recognition of GuardianEar, an innovative project developed by a group of MDX Dubai students. This advanced eavesdropping detection system utilizes the Isolation Forest Algorithm to identify and locate hidden microphones in real-time, securing the first runner-up position in the Youth AI Builder Contest. GuardianEar’s ability to filter out irrelevant noise and frequencies, providing accurate detection and real-time alerts, impressed judges and attendees alike. The project demonstrated the potential of AI to address critical privacy and security concerns in today’s increasingly interconnected world.
